Welcome to the Womens Membership section on the Northwood Golf Club (NGC) website.

I’m Radhi Nanalal and am the current Womens' Captain having taken over the role in October 2022. My vice-captain is Lesley Sawyer.

It is always an honour to be the Womens’ Captain but it is an extra privilege, especially as in my year, we celebrate 100 years that ladies have been playing members of our club. There will be many events planned throughout my year to celebrate our centenary and I and the ladies look forward to them.

As members of Northwood Golf Club you will have many opportunities to play both social and competitive golf. Competitions are organised by the womens section at the weekends and on a Tuesday and many of them are alternate-day competitions so you can play to suit your diary. Many women meet on a Thursday morning to play and this is organised through one of the WhatsApp groups. Booking-in for competitions is completed online using the IG app (Intelligent Golf) but there are WhatsApp groups to help find a partner if you need one. Throughout the year there are club competitions which are open to all sections of NGC. There are also many social occasions that you can be involved with, both as part of the Womens section and the club as a whole.

The women have representative teams in the Middlesex Scratch League, play in the Pearson League, and have a comprehensive list of mid-week and weekend friendly fixture against local clubs. Women are also actively encouraged to participate in competitions organised by Middlesex.  

A Womens Academy is run at the club. This is open to women returning to golf or those taking it up for the first time and is a supportive rolling programme with coaching included which can be joined at any time. The womens section work closely with the Academy.

The Womens Bridge section meets at the clubhouse on the first Thursday of each month from October through to March and all standards of play are welcome.

Those joining us at Northwood would be made welcome and a member of the club would act as a link to answer any questions and to help make you feel at home. 

We currently have both full and five day membership vacancies available for ladies.
