The Week Ahead

Summer Tee times at the Weekend (Morning)

Commencing from Monday 4 April, teeing off on Saturday and Sunday mornings for non competition days will be as follows.

1st tee from 07:45 and not before, Two, Three and Four balls may tee off.  At all times Two balls must be let through.

10th tee from 08:15 and not before, Two, Three and Four balls may tee off. At all times  Two balls must be let through.

These tee times have been changed to allow our green staff plenty of time to prepare the course for us.  The Green Committee are mindful that there will be a lot of two ball matches played through the summer.  In order to make this teeing off system work, you must ensure if you are playing in a Three or Fourball that you must always let the Two ball through, regardless of waiting time ahead of you.  Thank you.

Club Competitions during the Summertime

Commencing from Monday 4 April, Teeing off for all summer competitions will commence from the 1st tee only in up to 4 balls, from 07:30 to 14:00.  If you do not wish to play in the competition you can still book up a tee time, but you must let the office know beforehand.

Win a Full Membership for the year

We are offering one member the opportunity to win a year's full membership from 1 May 2022 to 30 April 2023.  The winner will be decided by raffle, the cost per number will be £20 and the maximum amount of numbers sold will be 120.  We need to raise a sufficient amount which will meet the cost for full membership, the bar levy and the Middlesex affiliation fee.  If we do not make that target all entrants will be refunded and the draw will not go ahead.  Any surplus cash will be donated to our Captains Charity.  The draw will take place by the Captain at 13:00 on Saturday 16 April 2022.  You can choose your number from the board behind the bar.

England v Rest of the world Sunday 24 April

Entries will open on Friday 3 April for our England v The Rest of the World match.  The format is better ball, enter and you will be teamed up with another member chosen by our Captain Ian Johnston, who will be representing the rest of the world team, and our Vice Captain Neil Whitehead, who will be representing the England team.  There will be prizes for the winning team members and for the nearest the English Gin on hole No 3, nearest the Scottish single malt whiskey on the 15th green, and nearest the French red wine in two on the 17^th green.  The result of the competition goes without saying, but we thank the English for making up the numbers!  You will be able to enter by selecting the rest of the world entry or England entry on the website from Friday 25 March at 09:00.  This I know, will be a fun day and the cost is £10pp which includes the prizes an English Roast Beef Sandwich or Indian chicken curry with rice.  Lets get it on!!  Times will be promulgated when participating numbers are known.

Sunday 3 April Monthly Stableford

Entries are open for our Monthly Stableford which takes place on Sunday 3 April.

You are invited to a Divoting Party Tuesday 12 April

We are asking for volunteers to help divot all our fairways commencing at 5 pm on Tuesday 12 April.  This therapeutic work will take no longer than an hour, volunteers will be split into teams and assigned two fairways each.  Some buckets are available, but if possible it would be appreciated if you could bring your own. On completion chicken and chips will be served up to all volunteers free of charge.  If you would like to help, please contact the office.  A full health and safety brief will be conducted by Wes before work commences. Jubilee Cup and Father & Son Competition

Entries will open on the website at 09:00 for the Jubilee Cup (all teeing off from 1st tee) which takes place on Friday 15 April and The Father and Son which takes place on Monday 18 April.

Saturday 23 April Monthly Medal (Coronation Cup Qualifier)

Entries will open on Friday 25 March at 09:00, for the April Monthly Medal (Middlesex Coronation Cup Qualifier)

Summer Knockouts 2022

The summer knockout competitions are available for you to sign up to on the website.

The three competitions are The Mixed Foursomes, The Coles Challenge Shield and The Club Challenge Cup.  Entry £5.00pp.

Entries will close at 17:00 on 28 March 2022, as the winter competitions have been extended.

Roll-Ups

Every club member is welcome to participate in any of our roll-ups.  In order to book spaces and let everyone know what time members are teeing off, draws can sometimes take place well in advance of the roll-up day.  Each roll-up has an administrator, I have added the name and email of each administrator at the end of the roll-up group below.  Please contact them for details on how their individual roll-up works.
