Wednesday Fourballs Spring Meeting

The draw for our Spring Meeting has now been completed and here is the full draw:

As is ever the case, there are likely to be some dropouts before next Wednesday so please regard this as provisional for the time being. Any group that gets affected by dropouts will be contacted via email with details of the changes.

Please collect your cards from the reception desk in the clubhouse between 11:00 and 11:45. The servery will be open and serving breakfast and hot drinks from 10am.

The cost for the day is £31 for golf & dinner, £5 for golf only and £26 for dinner only. Ideally we ask that, if you haven't already paid, that you do so by bank transfer (Account Name Northwood Golf Club W/F - Account Number 05630045 - Sort Code 60-15-30), please make the transfer by Tuesday evening so that we can check we've received it before the day. Please ensure you include your name in the payment reference along with "SM" to denote that the payment is related to the Spring Meeting. Once you've made the transfer it would be helpful if you could notify Graham by email (using this address please) or text so he can tick you off his list. If you prefer you can bring cash on the day or have the value taken from your barcard.

Dinner will be served at approximately 6.00pm and the table plan will be advertised on the big screen in the dining room beforehand. As previously advised, wine is not provided so please purchase your preferred drinks to have with the meal.

The dress code is Smart Casual.

As always a raffle will be held after dinner. Donation of a prize, such as a bottle of wine or a sleeve of balls would be appreciated, with all proceeds going to the captain’s charity,  The Harefield Hospital Haemodialysis Appeal.

Please remember to bring some extra cash to purchase raffle tickets and for the staff collection during the meal.

The bar will be open after dinner and all players are welcome to stay for a few drinks.

We are holding our  Spring Meeting on Wednesday 1st May 2024. This is a 4 Ball Better Ball Stableford (85% of course handicaps) event over 18 holes with tee off times from 12:00 followed by a three course dinner and prize giving in the clubhouse. Prizes will be awarded for the top placed pairs, plus for the best Front and Back 9s (no pair may win more than one of these prizes) and the players who are nearest the pin on the 3rd, 15th and 17th (in 2).  The dress code for lunch is smart casual.

You are very welcome to bring a guest (normal green fees will apply) who will be drawn in the same fourball as you but will not be your partner.  

The price for the day, including the dinner and prizes is £31 per player,  payment by bank transfer is preferred (to our usual account please - details on request). Cash & cheques only on the day please. If you do not wish to play golf you are very welcome to join us for dinner at a cost of £26. The price for golf only (to cover the cost of the prizes) is £5. Members who have played a minimum of 10 times in the last 12 months with the Wednesday Fourballs will receive a discount of £5 on the price of the day in recognition of their financial contribution to section funds over that period. 

The Closing Date for entries is Wednesday 24th April 2024 when the draw will be made after that afternoon's meeting. To enter please add your name to the list outside the Pro's shop or reply to this email with your menu choices from the list below. If you are bringing a guest please include their menu choices.
