Hi and welcome to our vibrant and friendly women’s section!  We’re very much looking forward to meeting you.

I'm Neets (Anita John) and I am the current Women’s Captain having taken over the role in October 2025. My vice-captain is Jane Peach.

You’ll be joining a section within our club which offers a good variety of golf, both competitive and social, individual and team formats.  And on a course which offers an excellent golfing experience as well as great views of the local area.  I love getting out there in the fresh air with good company and hopefully good golf!

We hope you’ll also enjoy our many social events and opportunities to get to know each other better.  We have a packed schedule with golf competitions in most weeks, whether an individual or team format.  Of course all players also enjoy social golf, meeting with friends and playing 9 or 18 holes followed by food and drink in the clubhouse.

Our women’s competitions are run on Tuesdays with some also offered over the weekend.  In addition, we run roll-ups on Thursdays and Sundays.  WhatsApp groups allow everyone to find playing partners for competitions or social play. 

Our social calendar is also pretty busy with post competition and social lunches,  9 and Dine (9 holes ending with a delicious fish’n’chip or falafel wrap’n’chip supper) and, of course, we join in with the wider Club events such as the quiz evening, New Years Eve Party and other similar events.

The women have representative teams in the Middlesex Scratch League, play in the Pearson League, and have a comprehensive list of mid-week and weekend friendly fixtures against local clubs. Women are also actively encouraged to participate in competitions organised by Middlesex.  

An Academy is run at the club for women as well as men. This is open to women returning to golf or those taking it up for the first time and is a supportive rolling programme with coaching included which can be joined at any time.

Those joining us at Northwood would be given a warm welcome and assigned a buddy to answer any questions and to help make you feel at home. 

We currently have both full and five day membership vacancies available for women.
